I would like MC that thinks a lot with some sort of irony in his thought. Think of Kyon as an adult... what do you think?

We've been using "Denton" as the name of the main character. We also decided he should be an engineering student who enjoys Poker.
Of course, this is all just an early concept.

In the irc everyone came to a conclusion that he would start out slightly beta, but would develop into a real man over the course of the game.

I think it would be good to have forms of subtext/the MCs thoughts. For example, upon first meeting Hikki-san, he would say something very middle ground that could leave more room for thought for the player, while later into the different routes it could begin to have more one-sided thoughts based on the actions that you take, which we can assume would mesh well with the players if they made those actions in the first place. MC: Hmm... what a strange girl. She's definitely very interesting, I could possible learn a thing or two from her.That would be after first meeting Hikki-san. Italics could also help to differentiate between thought and speech, in case we decide to have a thought from the MC interject into the discussion between characters. Just tossing ideas out. |

Does anyone object to Denton as a permanent name? I rather like it. I made it up, of course, so I'm biased as hell, but I still think it fits. Right?

I'm personally not so hot on Denton. It seems kind of bland, honestly. Of course, I'm not looking for these people to be named Bloodfist Wrathbender or some crap, either -- but something interesting. Maybe make Denton his last name. First name... hmm, I knew a guy named Gray once, how's that? Just spitballing here, there's lots of choices, and if you're all for Denton then that's just the way it is.

All right, so the IRC decided that Denton will be a college student studying Mechanical Engineering. He lives in an off-campus apartment and isn't a dick, but is confident enough to be considered alpha.

IRC now seems to want to wait until character art comes out before deciding on MC's name. Other traits seem to have stuck though.
