For all the heads that are developing for their specific girl's routes, I would like to question the direction of determining the result of Act 1.
The general concept is that Day 1 is spent on getting the supply, or fighting the zombie. This should not get a flag for any girl, maybe Sara for the supplies. I'm thinking the supply can be used as a 1 free get out of shit ticket, so those who got the supply can avoid the first bad end they meet.
I believe the consent was day 1 to 7/8 would be covered for Act 1, what with the first week of the outbreak being a time skip to day 1. I would like to have Day 2 to 7 dedicated on flags.
I would like to let the player to start every day with choosing a area to explore, meeting a girl in each area to potentially get a flag for that day. That way we won't force a player to see Elly 5 straight days in a row, plus she might move around and not be at the church 24/7.
My concept for Naomi would be to meet her at least 3 times, where successfully assisting her at least 2-3 times will activate the flag where she askes you to join the police volunteer group under her super vision. Day 8 would be when the MC selects what girl he wants to follow, if he has enough of their flags.
What do you guys think? How are you writing your routes? Will the events be linear, or set on the specific day? My plan is to have Naomi at the streets the first 2 days to save people, and a day spent at random locations, doing supply missions and rescue stuff, in where you can help or leave her. Helping requires a choice or 2 to succeed, which will earn you + 1 flag for her. I will give the option to walk away to pursuit another area if the player is not interested in Naomi.
